Philippine Navy Mail System Allegedly Breached by Philippine Exodus Security

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Navy has reportedly suffered a data breach, with the hacking group Philippine Exodus Security claiming responsibility for compromising its Mail system (mail.navy.mil.ph). https://i0.wp.com/newspress.ph/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/NAVY_123_d235a536b8.jpg The threat actor, which previously breached the mail system of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), alleges that it was able to infiltrate the system with minimal effort due to weak security practices. https://iili.io/395C4gs.jpg In their Facebook post, the group mocked the Philippine Navy’s cybersecurity, citing the use of weak passwords such as “passw0rd.” According to their claims, they allegedly exfiltrated over 15GB of confidential documents spanning from 2020 to 2025. The stolen data allegedly includes highly sensitive intelligence on Navy officials and personnel, with over 1,000 high-value individuals fully exposed. https://iili.io/395Cr1n.jpg The compromised data reportedly contains: 1. Full names, ranks, and Armed Forces of the Philippines Serial Numbers (AFPSN) 2. Provincial and current addresses 3. Office station locations 4. Private emails and direct contact numbers 5. Birthdates, enlistment dates, and service history 6. Duty assignments, promotions, and training records 7. Military schooling, awards, and commendations 8. Next of kin details and relationship mappings 9. Personal biometric identifiers https://iili.io/395CgqX.jpg The group claims that this is more than just a data leak, calling it a “complete operational compromise” of the Philippine Navy’s internal communications and security structure. Deep Web Konek has been alerted to the alleged breach and is currently conducting its own verification and analysis. The DWK Breach Notification Team has also alerted the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) regarding the incident to ensure proper response and mitigation efforts. At the time of writing, the Philippine Navy has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. It remains unclear whether immediate mitigation measures have been implemented or if affected personnel have been informed of the breach. This is a developing story. More updates will follow as new details emerge.
