House of Representatives Website Defaced, Attackers Post Anti-Corruption Message
The official website of the Philippine House of Representatives was reportedly DEFACED by multiple threat actors, displaying an anti-corruption message titled "Seized by the People of the Philippines."
The message accused corrupt officials of stealing not only public funds but also opportunities, justice, and the trust of the Filipino people. The authors claimed that corruption weakens institutions meant to serve citizens, replacing accountability with privilege while ordinary Filipinos suffer from broken systems and unfulfilled promises.
The threat actors also alleged that pages related to their previous activities had been removed, suggesting attempts to silence criticism and suppress public discussion. According to the statement, taking down pages does not erase the issues they seek to highlight, arguing that "the truth remains" regardless of efforts to hide it.
