Iloilo City, Philippines – A cybersecurity breach has allegedly compromised the database of West Visayas State University (WVSU), exposing sensitive information of students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
A hacker using the alias “7h3_Er4s3r” has taken responsibility for the attack, sharing screenshots that appear to confirm unauthorized access to WVSU’s systems.
The leaked images indicate that the hacker gained entry into multiple databases, including those labeled “WVSU_MAIN_Campus_DB_00” and “WVSUfiles”, suggesting that academic records, personal data, and administrative documents may have been exposed.
