TWO ARRESTED FOR OPERATING CYBERSEX DEN IN QUEZON PROVINCE

CALAUAG, Quezon — A cybersex den was dismantled by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) in the town of Calauag, Quezon following an operation that led to the rescue of four victims and the arrest of two suspects, authorities said. According to PNP-ACG Director Brigadier General Wilson P. Asueta, the operation was carried out under a warrant to search, seize, and examine computer data (WSSECD) after authorities received information regarding the alleged illegal recruitment and online sexual exploitation of individuals. The two suspects, identified only by the aliases “Mommy,” 33, and “Daddy,” 28, were described as the handlers and operators of the cybersex den, which was reportedly operating inside a two-storey house. Authorities also seized computer equipment, communication devices, internet accessories, and other tools used for live streaming the illicit activities. The rescued victims were immediately placed under protective custody and provided with necessary assistance. PNP-ACG said the operation followed intelligence validation to ensure the legality and effectiveness of the raid. The suspects now face charges for violations of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act and relevant provisions of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. The PNP-ACG urged the public to report any cases of online abuse or human trafficking to the nearest police office. Source: People’s Taliba
